Our Team

The Centerstone leadership team incorporates diverse talents and specific domain expertise, including service at the executive and officer level for Fortune 500 companies in consumer products and services. We complement our search and consulting expertise with perspectives that can only come from having walked in our clients shoes.

For over 18 years, Kim has successfully placed CEOs and executive teams, and built boards for companies ranging from new ventures to Fortune 500 firms. She is frequently engaged to handle challenging founder succession assignments, including highly sensitive CEO and board searches.

Before founding Centerstone in 1998, Kim served as a Managing Partner in a boutique executive search firm acquired by Korn/Ferry International. Prior to joining the search industry, Kim was an officer of a $1 billion multi-unit retail company, where she was responsible for organizational development and succession planning.

Kim holds a doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning at The George Washington University and a Master's degree in Management from the University of Redlands. Her areas of emphasis are board and executive leadership, CEO succession and organization development. Kim is also an Adjunct Professor at American University, and a Guest Lecturer at The George Washington University teaching contemporary leadership styles, team performance and organization diagnostics. She has been published by the Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur, the National Retail Federation and Discount Store News, among others.

Cindy’s impressive industry knowledge, candidate reach, and client focus have contributed to a consistent track record, over more than 15 years, of quickly and successfully closing board and C-Suite executive search assignments. Her clients include startup and established specialty retail and consumer products companies, department stores, restaurants, and venture backed concepts.

Cindy joined the team in 2005, bringing a valuable mix of boutique retail recruiting and large firm experience in the retail, consumer products and finance practices at Korn/Ferry International. Her previous career in merchandising at Caldor, Inc., including executive training and merchandising positions, gave her a solid industry foundation.

Cindy holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island.

Liz has extensive experience working with mature and publicly traded Fortune 500 companies, along with early stage venture and private equity-backed companies. As a result, she has become an acknowledged expert in attracting and placing high growth leaders, including CEO succession candidates, board directors and senior executives, across the consumer retail sector. She has a special knack for situations where it is paramount for new leaders to quickly achieve synergy with founders and professional management teams.

Liz’s retail management and recruiting career has spanned the U.K. and the U.S., including roles with Henri Bendel in New York and search experience with a national retained boutique recruiting company. She joined our team in 1998 after managing her own research and recruiting practice serving the retail, digital/eCommerce and restaurant industries.

Liz holds a B.A. in Business Administration from DeMontfort University in Leicester, England.

Rochelle advises boards of directors and chief executive officers in all aspects of leadership assessment, integration and long term organization effectiveness. She is particularly adept at supporting senior leadership teams to develop leadership and organizational capabilities enabling companies to scale, fostering employee engagement, and creating vibrant cultures designed to meet performance potential.

Prior to joining the firm, Rochelle spent over 15 years facilitating whole system transformative processes with public and private companies across the consumer and service spectrum.

Rochelle is completing her doctorate in organization and human development at The George Washington University, focused on executive leadership, executive assessment, and organizational culture and change with an emphasis on leadership and organization growth.

Rochelle has a Master of Arts in Organization Development from Sonoma State University, a bachelor’s degree in sociology from California State University, Stanislaus. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Organizational Development Network, and the Academy of Management.

Samia leads our Executives in Transition program, working one-on-one with officer-level executives interested in career transitions to new senior leadership or board of director roles.

Drawing on her executive recruiting experience and her professional coaching certification through the International Coach Federation (ICF), Samia helps determine appropriate career paths that will best develop an executive's overall career strategy. She collaborates to develop a targeted resume with defined career paths in mind, and supports productive networking through analysis of opportunities and industry contacts required. This decreases an executive's time in transition and increases the likelihood of a successful placement.

Samia is a board director and the vice president of membership for the ICF Washington State chapter, and is an active volunteer and speaker with Washington DECA, an association of marketing students. She holds a bachelor's degree with honors from the University of Montana, and spent two years studying in Liechtenstein and Austria, where she developed her German fluency.

Stephen consistently and efficiently brings to the table exceptional executives who meet his client’s unique functional and cultural requirements.

Stephen spent more than 20 years in chief human resources roles for Fortune 500 firms in hospitality, health care and digital/eCommerce, directing the recruitment of C-Suite officers in multiple disciplines. Stephen most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for DISH Network, with prior chief HR roles at Gate Gourmet International and Advantica Restaurant Group; he also led Cigna Healthcare's HR team in its service-operations function.

Stephen received his undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia. Following law school, Stephen served as clerk to the Honorable James C. Turk, Chief U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Virginia, before joining McGuire Woods in Richmond, Virginia, focusing on employment and labor law.

He served on the Wharton School of Business Executive Education Advisory Board, the boards of his local United Way and Boys and Girls Club, the National Advisory Council and Retail and Licensing Committee of Historic Charleston Foundation, and on Cigna Healthcare’s National Accounts Client Advisory Board.

Ann is an accomplished executive and client partner in both the retail and retained search industries, with a signature aptitude for building meaningful relationships that drive remarkable results. Her standout ability to identify, appreciate and nurture talent has earned her the respect and trust of boards, CEOs and executives with whom she partners.

During her time with David’s Bridal, Inc., prior to joining Centerstone, Ann moved up from Vice President of Organizational Development, ultimately taking on responsibility for all aspects of the human resources function, including overall people strategy and organizational alignment. As Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Ann partnered with the CEO and executive team to build a culture and a leadership team that achieved laudable results during a period of dynamic change. Ann has years of human resources leadership experience in specialty retail, complemented by 10 years of retained executive search experience with a boutique search firm subsequently acquired by Korn Ferry.

Ann holds a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and has completed post-graduate work in Counseling Psychology and Human Resources.

She is a highly versatile and effective leader with a track record of identifying and developing dynamic talent and driving marketing strategies for immediate results and sustained growth.

Prior to joining Centerstone, Lynne held leadership positions with Borders Books, David’s Bridal and Lane Bryant as well as key strategic and executive roles with EMI Music Distribution and DMI Music Strategy. Lynne achieved success as a senior leader in the music industry during a period of seismic shifts in consumer behavior that drove the reinvention of operating models and organizations. As a result, she has a finely honed ability to identify leaders with the vision and skill to transform organizations and dominate their competitive space.

Lynne studied Human Resources at Concordia University and acquired her MBA at California State University.
